We think of the site as an ongoing great conversation where
participants come and go as they think of new ideas to add to the
dialog.
If you're new to the site, take a look at any question with a few
answers. Each answer is an idea from one person's perspective. If
you find one you like, click the orange checkbox to show your
support. This will also keep you up-to-date when new answers are
created about that question.

Every idea on socialfact answers a question. The question reveals the
topic and why the answers matter. We are inspired by the traditions of
science, debate, and the best philosophical conversations (and a
little bit of Jeopardy) to use questions to find meaning and organze
the discussion. Questions keep us off the soapbox and open the door to
new answers and new perspectives.
